The City ofSarnia and Tourism Sarnia-Lambton will be hosting the 2019 Sarnia Tall ShipsCelebration on Friday, August 9 – Sunday, August, 11. To ensure public safetyand traffic control throughout the event, the following logistics have been setin place.

Parking

Casino Shuttle Bus

Event parkingwill be available at Sandrin Services Inc. (150 Exmouth Street), Lambton PublicHealth (160 Exmouth Street), and Holmes Foundry (across from Tim Hortons) onExmouth Street. For those who prefer notto walk, golf cart rides from these parking lots into the Tall Ships event atthe Sarnia Harbour will be available for $2.00 per rider. There will be no TallShips event parking within Harbour and Seaway Roads.

Shuttles

Shuttles willbe available free of charge at the Starlight Casino (2000 Venetian Boulevard),taking passengers to and from the Tall Ships event at the Sarnia Harbour. Shuttles will also be available at LambtonMall (1380 London Road), taking passengers to and from the ARTZscape by the Bayevent area in Centennial Park at Maxwell Street. Shuttles will run every 15minutes each day for the duration of the event taking place from 10:00 a.m. –6:00 p.m.

Those seekingaccessible parking are encouraged to park at the Starlight Casino and take theshuttle directly into the festival. All shuttles are accessible.

Road Closures

Beginning at8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, Front Street between Exmouth Street andMaxwell Street will be closed to all through traffic. Volunteers will belocated at the closures to direct traffic and permit access to authorizedvehicles. Moreover, at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday August 10, volunteers will belocated at the intersection of Harbour Road and Exmouth Street to directtraffic and allow vehicles through the closure to access the businesses withinthat closure. There will be no throughtraffic access to the west of the Andrew S. Brandt Marina with the exception ofauthorized vehicles. ALL BUSINESSES WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR THEDURATION OF THE EVENT.

We have three big events every year that you do not want to miss. In January each year we have our Anniversary Dinner in January 2019 it will be our 7’th, in July we have our Starlight BBQ, and in December we have The Christmas Bus! These are very popular and sell out months ahead of time.Sometimes we can add a second bus, sometimes we can’t. Please review our listings. We like everybody else goes to casinos, but we also go to different shows. We also go on special sight seeing trips as well. We have been to Canada, South Dakota, Branson, Mackinaw Island & Vegas and will be going back to Canada, this year!
